Manager – Founder’s Office Strategy, Operations & Special Projects Location: Delhi NCR Reporting to: Managing Director Compensation: Up to ₹50 lakh per annum, depending on experience and fit About Ogaan Ogaan is one of India’s leading luxury fashion retailers, specialising in high-end Indian designer clothing and accessories. The company works with some of the country’s most established and emerging designers and serves customers through its physical retail presence and digital channels. As Ogaan continues to strengthen and expand its business, the company is looking for a high-calibre individual to join the Founder’s Office and work closely with the Managing Director on critical business priorities. About the Role The Founder’s Office works directly with the Managing Director on some of Ogaan’s most important strategic, operational and growth initiatives. This is a broad, high-ownership role rather than a position confined to a single function. The individual will work across retail operations, merchandising, marketing, e-commerce, customer experience, finance, technology, people and new business initiatives. The role is suited to someone who combines strong analytical ability with an operator’s mindset. The successful candidate will be expected to understand business problems quickly, bring structure to ambiguous situations and work with different teams to convert ideas into measurable outcomes. Every week may involve a different set of priorities—from improving store productivity or evaluating a new location to analysing customer behaviour, redesigning an operating process or helping launch a strategic initiative. Key Responsibilities Strategic and Business Initiatives • • • • Partner closely with the Managing Director on the company’s key strategic and operating priorities. Lead high-priority initiatives from initial problem definition through analysis, implementation and review. Evaluate new business opportunities, growth initiatives, partnerships, formats and markets. Conduct market research, competitor analysis and customer analysis to support business decisions. 1• Prepare structured recommendations and decision materials for the Managing Director and senior leadership. Retail and Operating Performance • • • • • Work with retail and functional teams to improve store productivity, customer experience and operating efficiency. Analyse performance across stores, categories, designers, products, customer segments and sales channels. Identify operational bottlenecks and develop practical solutions in collaboration with relevant teams. Support projects relating to store expansion, new store launches, retail processes, inventory productivity and service standards. Develop and implement standard operating procedures for critical business processes. Cross-Functional Project Management • • • • • Lead cross-functional projects involving Retail Operations, Merchandising, Buying, Marketing, Ecommerce, Finance, Technology, Human Resources and Supply Chain. Establish project plans, timelines, ownership structures and measurable outcomes. Follow through with teams to ensure that agreed initiatives are implemented effectively. Identify risks, dependencies and execution gaps and escalate them appropriately. Act as an execution partner for initiatives requiring coordination across multiple departments. Analytics and Management Information • • • • • Build dashboards, business reviews and performance reports for the Managing Director. Analyse business data to identify trends, exceptions and areas requiring management attention. Define metrics and tracking mechanisms for strategic initiatives. Translate complex information into clear, concise and actionable insights. Improve the quality, frequency and usefulness of management information across the organisation. Transformation and Special Projects • • • • Support technology, automation, artificial intelligence and process-transformation initiatives. Help evaluate and implement tools that improve customer experience, employee productivity and management visibility. Undertake special projects based on the evolving priorities of the Managing Director. Bring an external perspective and challenge established ways of working where improvements are possible. Ideal Candidate • • • • At least 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in a Founder’s Office, business operations, strategy, category management, retail operations, consulting or a comparable crossfunctional role. Experience in a consumer, retail or operating business is strongly preferred. Direct exposure to retail operations, store performance, merchandising, e-commerce, supply chain or customer experience would be particularly valuable. Experience taking projects from analysis and planning through to on-ground implementation. 2• • • • • Strong academic record, ideally with an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from a leading institution. Strong analytical capability and comfort working with business and financial data. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets and presentation development. Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with senior leaders as well as operating teams. Key Attributes • • • • • • • • • • High energy: Able to work at pace and sustain momentum across several demanding initiatives. High cognitive capability: Able to understand complex problems quickly, distinguish important issues from noise and arrive at sound conclusions. Curiosity: Interested in understanding how different parts of the business work and willing to investigate problems deeply. Ownership: Takes responsibility for outcomes rather than limiting involvement to recommendations. Execution orientation: Comfortable following through on details and working with teams until results are delivered. Structured thinking: Able to bring clarity, prioritisation and discipline to ambiguous situations. Commercial judgment: Understands the practical implications of decisions for customers, revenue, margins and operations. Influence without authority: Able to build credibility and drive progress across teams without relying on formal reporting relationships. Attention to detail: Maintains high standards of accuracy while retaining sight of the larger commercial objective. Low ego and adaptability: Willing to move between strategic analysis and hands-on execution as the situation requires. Success in the Role Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate should have: • • • • • • Become a trusted thought and execution partner to the Managing Director. Delivered several high-priority strategic and operational initiatives. Improved visibility into business and store-level performance. Helped strengthen cross-functional accountability and execution. Created measurable improvements in areas such as revenue, margins, inventory productivity, customer experience or operating efficiency. Developed a strong understanding of Ogaan’s customers, designers, products, stores and operating model.
