About IronTrex
IronTrex is building technology infrastructure around trusted human and machine actions. Our work spans digital authorisation, payment infrastructure, AI and machine-action systems, consumer technology and institutional applications. We operate across technology, financial infrastructure, artificial intelligence and high-trust digital systems.
Location: Hyderabad | Work Mode: Full-time, Work from Office | Reporting to: Co-Founder & CEO | Experience: 2–10 years
The Role
We are looking for a Chief of Staff to the Co-Founder & CEO who can operate across the company's most important priorities and convert direction into execution.
This is not an administrative role. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can understand an objective, create structure around it, coordinate the right people, identify blockers early and drive the initiative to closure.
The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO across product, engineering, AI/ML, partnerships, institutional engagements, company operations, strategic initiatives and special projects.
The expectation is simple: Understand what matters. Create clarity. Drive execution. Close the loop.
What You Will Own
CEO Priorities
Convert CEO priorities into clear execution plans with defined outcomes, owners, timelines, dependencies, milestones, decision points and escalation paths. Maintain complete visibility on the company's highest-priority initiatives.
Cross-Functional Execution
Work across Product, Engineering, AI/ML, QA, Design, Business and Partnerships, Operations, and external advisors and institutional stakeholders. Ensure commitments made across teams are followed through and completed. The Chief of Staff will not replace functional leaders, but will ensure that company-level priorities move cleanly across functions.
Strategic Initiatives
Take direct ownership of selected CEO-sponsored initiatives — strategic partnerships, product initiatives, institutional opportunities, business expansion, market-entry projects, new strategic programs, special situations and company-wide operating initiatives. The expectation is that you can be given an outcome rather than a detailed task list.
CEO Operating Cadence
Build and maintain disciplined operating systems around the CEO: weekly priority reviews, leadership follow-ups, critical initiative trackers, decision logs, milestone reviews, escalation tracking, operating dashboards and action closure. Meetings should result in decisions. Decisions should result in execution.
Decision Support
Help structure complex or ambiguous situations for the CEO. The expected standard is: Issue → Options → Implications → Recommendation → Decision Required. Do not simply escalate problems — understand them, structure them and bring a point of view.
Institutional & Strategic Engagements
Support the CEO across important engagements involving banks and financial institutions, enterprise partners, technology companies, government and institutional stakeholders, strategic advisors and major external relationships. Before important engagements, ensure the CEO has the right context, material and objective. Afterwards, ensure decisions, commitments and next steps move to closure.
Product & Technology Coordination
Develop enough understanding of IronTrex's products and technology to coordinate effectively across product and technical teams. Maintain visibility into major engineering milestones, product readiness, dependencies, QA status, AI/ML deliverables, deployment blockers, institutional requirements and technical risks affecting business outcomes. This is not an engineering management role — the responsibility is to ensure important technical workstreams remain aligned with company priorities.
Strategic Research & Analysis
Conduct structured analysis across markets, competitors, technology, business models, pricing, partnerships, regulations, geographic expansion and new opportunities. Research should lead to a recommendation or decision.
Leadership Coordination
Identify and help resolve unclear ownership, missed commitments, execution gaps, cross-functional dependencies, recurring bottlenecks, delayed decisions, resource constraints and emerging risks. The Chief of Staff should gradually become one of the most context-rich operators in the company.
What Success Looks Like
- Understand CEO priorities with minimal translation
- Know the current status of every major company initiative
- Ensure important commitments do not get lost
- Identify blockers before they become major issues
- Drive cross-functional projects to closure
- Improve the quality and speed of decision-making
- Communicate clearly across teams and stakeholders
- Distinguish between matters that can be resolved independently and matters requiring CEO intervention
- Maintain strong execution discipline across the organisation
The CEO should increasingly be able to say “This is the outcome we need” and trust that you will drive the execution required to get there.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone with strong intellect, exceptional execution ability and high personal ownership.
- 1–4 years of strong professional experience
- MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, ISB or another highly selective institution preferred
- Strong IIT / BITS / top-tier undergraduate profiles with relevant operating experience are also encouraged
- Experience in management consulting, Founder's Office, strategy & operations, fintech, technology, program management, investment banking, corporate strategy or high-growth companies
- Experience working directly with founders, CEOs or senior leadership is highly valued
Academic pedigree is useful. Execution ability matters more.
What We Look For
- Ownership — if something is assigned to you, it stays with you until it is completed
- Execution — you turn conversations into actions and actions into outcomes
- Structured Thinking — you can take an ambiguous situation and quickly create structure
- Judgment — you know what needs escalation, what needs discussion and what should simply be solved
- Communication — you can communicate comfortably with engineers, designers, business leaders, institutions and senior external stakeholders
- Follow-Through — sending a message is not completion; scheduling a meeting is not completion; the outcome is completion
- Speed — you are comfortable operating with multiple important priorities moving simultaneously
- Independent Thinking — you are expected to challenge assumptions constructively and present a better alternative when you see one
- Confidentiality — you will operate close to sensitive company information and consequential decisions; exceptional discretion is mandatory
What This Role Is Not
This is not an Executive Assistant role, a calendar-management role, a reporting-only role, a presentation-making role, a project coordinator role, a pure research role, or a ceremonial Chief of Staff designation. This is an operating role within the Office of the Co-Founder & CEO.
Compensation
Competitive compensation based on experience and capability. The package may include fixed annual compensation, performance-linked bonus, ESOP grant and relocation support where applicable.
Career Path
Strong performance in this role can develop toward broader leadership responsibilities across Strategy & Operations, Business Unit leadership, Strategic Partnerships, Corporate Development, new business initiatives and senior operating roles. The role provides direct exposure to company building across technology, business, operations and strategic decision-making.
The Standard
See what matters. Understand it deeply. Create clarity. Take ownership. Get the right people moving. Solve what you can. Escalate intelligently. Close the loop.
If you require detailed instructions before acting on every problem, this role will not be a good fit. If you are comfortable with responsibility, ambiguity, pace and high ownership, this role offers significant operating exposure and scope.
