Role Description The International Freight Operations & Agent Coordination Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves managing day-to-day international freight operations, including booking shipments, monitoring cargo movement, and ensuring documentation is accurate and compliant with regulations. The executive will coordinate closely with overseas agents, shipping lines, and other logistics partners to secure schedules, negotiate rates within policy, and resolve operational issues. Responsibilities include handling customer inquiries, providing shipment updates, and supporting clients with clear, timely information. The role also requires maintaining records, preparing basic operational and financial summaries, collaborating with internal teams, and supporting process improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret shipment data, track performance metrics, and support operational decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with international agents, logistics partners, and internal teams, and to provide clear updates to customers.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to handle client queries, manage expectations, and ensure a positive end-to-end experience.
- Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to support rate negotiations, identify opportunities for additional services, and contribute to business growth while adhering to company guidelines.
- Candidates should possess basic Finance skills to understand freight cost structures, assist with billing accuracy, and support reconciliation of operational charges.
- Relevant experience of minimum 1-2 Year in freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade operations is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation, Incoterms, and import/export procedures is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with logistics or ERP systems is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple shipments, and maintain attention to detail.
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and professionalism.
- Only candidates residing near Mulund, Thane, Ghatkopar, Kalyan, or Badlapur will be preferred.
- Compensation: Annual CTC: ₹3,00,000 – ₹5,00,000 (based on experience and performance)
