Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Freight Forwarding – Process professional with 1–2 years of experience. The role involves handling day-to-day freight forwarding activities, including documentation, coordination of export shipments, and tracking freight transportation processes. The team member will interact with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely booking, scheduling, and delivery, while maintaining accurate records in systems and reports. Responsibilities also include assisting with rate inquiries, preparing shipping instructions, resolving operational issues, and supporting continuous process improvement within the forwarding department.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Freight Forwarding and Forwarding operations, including documentation and coordination.
- Experience with Export processes, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage Freight Transportation activities, including scheduling, tracking, and vendor coordination.
- Customer Service skills to handle inquiries, provide shipment updates, and resolve basic operational issues.
- 1–2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or related transportation functions.
- Basic understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms), shipping documentation, and standard logistics workflows.
- Proficiency with MS Office and ability to work with TMS or ERP logistics systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field is preferred.
