Company Description OutlierStudio is a multidisciplinary design firm specializing in architecture, interior design, and furniture design for both residential and commercial projects. Role Description The Interior Designer will work on full-time, on-site projects based in New Delhi, collaborating with architects, furniture designers, contractors, and craftspeople. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing mood boards, layouts, and detailed drawings, and selecting materials, finishes, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The role involves conducting site visits, coordinating with project teams, and monitoring execution to ensure designs are implemented accurately and within timelines. The Interior Designer will meet with clients to understand requirements, present design proposals, incorporate feedback, and align solutions with budget and functional needs. The position also includes creating presentation documents, maintaining project documentation, and supporting the studio’s design standards and quality benchmarks.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning, with the ability to create functional, aesthetically coherent layouts.
- Knowledge of Architecture principles relevant to interior projects, including coordination with structural and services design.
- Proficiency in preparing detailed Construction Drawings and documentation suitable for contractors and on-site execution.
- Experience with FF&E selection, including furniture design coordination, finishes, lighting, and accessories.
- Relevant academic background such as a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
- Strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to translate concepts into clear deliverables.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
- Prior experience in residential and/or commercial interior projects is preferred.
