Position Summary
The HR Specialist will lead end-to-end people operations within our fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to creative, account, and technical teams, executing core HR functions with high velocity. The ideal candidate has deep experience navigating the unique dynamics of agency life-balancing rapid talent acquisition, payroll accuracy, compliance, and burnout mitigation to keep our billable teams motivated and high-performing.
Key Responsibilities
1. High-Velocity Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead full-cycle hiring for creative, strategy, account management, and technical roles, ensuring a pipeline of top-tier industry talent.
- Talent Branding: Partner with marketing and hiring managers to enhance candidate pipelines and optimize the time-to-hire metric.
- Onboarding Integration: Execute an efficient integration framework that accelerates time-to-productivity for all new hires.
2. Compensation & Payroll Operations
- Payroll Lifecycle: Manage and audit monthly payroll inputs (attendance, leaves, overtime, and performance-based bonuses) to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Benefits Oversight: Manage health, wellness, and statutory benefit programs customized to support.
3. Performance & Retention Management
- Agile Performance Reviews: Facilitate continuous feedback loops and structured appraisal frameworks aligned with project velocity and KPIs.
- Retention & Burnout Mitigation: Proactively identify signs of burnout and implement targeted wellness initiatives to maintain high morale and reduce turnover.
- Career Mapping: Map clear growth trajectories for creative and account teams to foster long-term internal growth.
4. Compliance & Employee Relations
- Labor Law Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local labor laws and corporate governance.
- Conflict Resolution: Serve as an objective mediator for workplace grievances, managing employee relations fairly and confidentially.
- Policy Governance: Update and enforce agency-specific guidelines (e.g., client confidentiality, intellectual property, remote work rules).
5. HRIS & People Analytics
- Data Integrity: Maintain accurate real-time records in the HRIS, ensuring data security and confidentiality.
- Metrics & Reporting: Generate weekly/monthly metrics on headcount utilization, recruitment velocity, and attrition trends to help leadership make data-driven decisions.
Core Competencies & Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive HR experience, specifically within an advertising, digital marketing, PR, or creative agency environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of agency structures, client-servicing dynamics, and billable vs. non-billable time metrics.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong hands-on knowledge of HRIS and ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) platforms.
- Traits: Exceptionally organized, emotionally intelligent, resilient under pressure, and highly skilled at communicating with diverse, creative personalities.
