Role Description The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for supporting the end-to-end HR lifecycle. Day-to-day tasks include administering HR policies, managing employee onboarding and offboarding, maintaining HR records, and supporting performance management processes. The role coordinates employee benefits, handles benefits-related queries, and ensures compliance with company guidelines and local regulations. The HR Generalist will assist in employee engagement initiatives, support recruitment activities, and collaborate with managers to address HR-related issues. The position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders to maintain a positive, inclusive, and efficient workplace.
Core Responsibilities
- Employee Lifecycle Management
- Manage onboarding, job changes, transfers, leave of absence, and terminations.
- Prepare and maintain HR documentation (contracts, letters, compliance records).
- Execute HR transactions in HRIS tools like Workday, ServiceNow, SAP.
- Employee Relations & Support
- Handle Tier 2 employee queries across multiple channels (calls, HR portal, email).
- Provide guidance to managers on HR policies and processes.
- Support conflict resolution and promote a culture of respect and inclusion.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to local labor laws and global HR standards.
- Maintain accurate employee records and statutory filings.
- Partner with payroll and benefits teams for compliance reporting.
- Talent & Culture
- Assist in recruitment processes (job postings, interviews, onboarding).
- Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Support employee engagement programs and training sessions.
- HR Transformation
- Contribute to process optimization and workflow automation.
- Leverage AI-enabled HR tools for documentation, analytics, and employee support.
- Act as reviewer for AI-generated HR content to ensure compliance and tone.
Typical Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s/Master’s in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years in HR operations or generalist roles.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and employee relations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to use HR metrics for decision-making.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience handling core HR operations.
- Candidates should possess skills in HR Policies, including developing, implementing, and updating HR guidelines and procedures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration, including enrollment, communication, and issue resolution.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively across levels and functions.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and HR best practices, with high attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; prior experience as an HR Generalist or similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS or HR management systems and basic MS Office tools.
