Job Title: HR Generalist

Working Days: 6 Days a Week (Sunday Fixed Off)
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and people-oriented HR Generalist with 2–3 years of experience to manage end-to-end HR operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and HR administration. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build a positive workplace culture while ensuring smooth HR operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition (Recruitment & Hiring)
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding.
- Draft and publish job descriptions across recruitment platforms.
- Source candidates through job portals, social media, employee referrals, and other channels.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interview schedules.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand manpower requirements.
- Manage offer rollouts, salary negotiations, and candidate communication.
- Maintain recruitment metrics and hiring reports.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
2. Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all new employees.
- Complete joining formalities, documentation, and HR orientation.
- Coordinate with IT, Admin, and reporting managers for employee readiness.
- Manage employee confirmation processes and probation reviews.
- Handle exit formalities including resignations, exit interviews, full & final settlement coordination, and relieving documentation.
- Maintain employee records throughout the employee lifecycle
3. Payroll & Attendance Management
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing with accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, and payroll inputs.
- Ensure statutory deductions and payroll compliance.
- Resolve employee payroll queries efficiently.
- Maintain payroll records and confidential employee information.
4. Compensation & Benefits (Rewards)
- Administer employee compensation structures and benefits.
- Coordinate annual salary revisions, incentives, bonuses, and reward programs.
- Assist in benchmarking compensation practices.
- Support employee benefits administration including insurance and other welfare initiatives.
- Promote employee recognition and rewards programs.
5. Learning & Development (L&D)
- Identify employee training needs in coordination with department heads.
- Coordinate internal and external learning programs.
- Track training participation and maintain learning records.
- Support onboarding training and continuous employee development initiatives.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
6. Performance & Career Management (Growth)
- Coordinate performance appraisal cycles.
- Track employee goals, KPIs, and performance review timelines.
- Support managers in performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist in career development planning and succession initiatives.
- Maintain performance documentation and reports.
7. Employee Relations & Workplace Culture (Engagement)
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment.
- Plan and execute employee engagement activities, celebrations, wellness initiatives, and team-building events.
- Address employee concerns and grievances professionally.
- Support conflict resolution and promote healthy workplace relationships.
- Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and recommend engagement strategies.
- Promote company values, culture, and employee well-being initiatives.
8. HR Operations & Systems (Administration)
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Update and manage HRMS and employee databases.
- Handle attendance, leave management, and employee documentation.
- Prepare HR reports, dashboards, and MIS.
- Coordinate HR audits and documentation.
- Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
9. Compliance, Legal & Safety (Risk Management)
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Maintain employee records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Support compliance related to PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments Act, and other applicable labor laws.
- Assist during statutory audits and compliance inspections.
- Promote workplace safety policies and HR best practices.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and disciplinary procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support manpower planning and workforce management.
- Assist in HR policy implementation and communication.
- Maintain employee files and HR documentation.
- Generate HR analytics and monthly reports.
- Coordinate with Finance, Admin, and departmental teams on HR-related activities.
- Handle employee queries regarding HR policies, leave, payroll, and benefits.
- Recommend process improvements for HR operations.
- Support organizational growth initiatives and change management activities.
- Perform any other HR responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA/PGDM in HR preferred).
- 0–3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Executive.
- Strong understanding of HR functions and employment lifecycle.
- Knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Experience using HRMS, payroll software, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
