Aarth AIF is a SEBI-registered Category III Alternative Investment Fund focused on identifying investment opportunities across India’s micro-cap and emerging businesses.
We are looking for a hands-on HR Professional who can independently manage and strengthen the organisation’s HR function. This is a high-ownership role covering recruitment, employee lifecycle, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, policies, employee relations, HR MIS and day-to-day HR operations.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working directly with management, taking ownership of HR processes and building systems as the organisation grows.
Key Responsibilities:
1. End-to-End HR Operations:
• Manage the complete employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, probation, confirmation, performance reviews, promotions, transfers and exits.
• Maintain employee records, HR documentation, databases and employee queries.
2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
• Manage end-to-end hiring for junior to mid-level positions including sourcing, screening, interviews, evaluation, offers and joining.
• Work with management and functional heads on manpower requirements and build candidate pipelines through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals and other channels.
3. Payroll, Compliance & BGV:
• Own payroll inputs including attendance, leave, LOPs, reimbursements, incentives, salary revisions and employee movements.
• Manage BGV and maintain confidential records.
• Monitor applicable statutory compliances including PF/EPF, ESIC, gratuity, professional tax and related filings.
4. HR Policies & Performance Management:
• Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs and processes covering attendance, leave, WFH, conduct, performance, travel, reimbursements and disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate KRAs/KPIs, probation reviews, appraisals, increments and promotions.
• Identify process gaps and drive improvements.
5. Employee Relations & Engagement:
• Handle employee queries, grievances and workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
• Support employee engagement, internal communication and a positive, disciplined work environment.
• Manage exit processes, notice periods, clearances, Full & Final settlements and exit discussions.
6. HR MIS, Administration & Process Building:
• Maintain HR MIS covering headcount, hiring, attrition, attendance, payroll, BGV, performance and employee movements.
• Coordinate with Administration on employee and office-related requirements.
• Build and streamline HR systems and processes as the organisation grows, taking independent ownership of routine HR activities.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for someone who is:
• Hands-on and capable of independently managing HR operations.
• Strong in HR Operations, Payroll, Recruitment, BGV and Statutory Compliance.
• Highly organised with strong follow-up and execution skills.
• Comfortable handling confidential employee and salary information.
• Strong in documentation, Excel/HR MIS and process management.
• A clear and professional communicator with good interpersonal skills.
• Mature, discreet and capable of handling employee matters with sound judgement.
• Comfortable working directly with senior management.
• Proactive and willing to build processes rather than simply execute existing ones.
Experience & Qualification:
• 1-3 years of relevant HR experience in a generalist / HR operations role.
• Graduate in any relevant discipline; MBA/PGDM in HR will be preferred.
• Practical understanding of Indian employment and statutory compliance requirements.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and HRMS/payroll systems.
• Prior experience in financial services, investment management, AIF/PMS, wealth management, professional services, consulting or other corporate environments will be an advantage.
