JOB DESCRIPTION – HR Recruitment Executive – Manufacturing
Location: Pattaravakkam, Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai
Experience: 2-3 Years
Qualification: MBA HR / MSW / BBA / Any relevant HR qualification
Industry Preference: Manufacturing / Engineering / Automotive / Tool Room
Reporting To: Director / Management
Employment Type: Full-Time
1. ROLE PURPOSE
We are looking for a hands-on and result-oriented HR professional who can take complete ownership of the Recruitment & Talent Acquisition function at FineTools Automation.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete recruitment cycle — from understanding manpower requirements and sourcing candidates to screening, interview coordination, selection, offer management, follow-up and successful joining.
The role requires a proactive HR professional who can independently drive recruitment and ensure that approved manpower requirements are closed within the required timeline.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Manpower Planning & Recruitment
Understand manpower requirements from Department Heads and Management.
Prepare and maintain a recruitment plan for all approved vacancies.
Coordinate with department heads to understand job requirements and candidate profiles.
Recruit for positions including:
- CNC Programmers
- CNC / VMC Operators
- Design Engineers
- Production Engineers & Staff
- Quality Engineers & Inspectors
- Assembly Technicians
- Electrical / Automation Staff
- Office & Support Staff
- Source candidates through multiple channels, including:
- Naukri and other job portals
- LinkedIn
- Recruitment consultants
- Employee referrals
- ITI / Diploma colleges
- Direct sourcing
- Other relevant recruitment channels
- Build and continuously maintain a strong candidate pipeline for critical positions.
B. Candidate Screening & Interview Coordination
- Review and screen resumes based on job requirements.
- Conduct initial HR screening and assess candidate suitability.
- Shortlist candidates for technical evaluation.
- Coordinate technical interviews with concerned Department Heads.
- Schedule interviews and ensure candidate attendance.
- Maintain an updated candidate database and recruitment tracker.
- Maintain proper records of candidate status throughout the recruitment process.
C. Candidate Follow-up & Recruitment Closure
Take complete ownership of candidate follow-up from initial contact until joining.
Follow up with selected candidates regarding:
- Offer acceptance
- Documentation
- Notice period
- Joining date
- Other joining formalities
- Maintain backup candidates for critical and urgent positions.
- Track and analyse candidate rejection, dropout and non-joining reasons.
- Ensure that no active candidate is left without a clear status or follow-up action.
- Proactively identify potential recruitment delays and take corrective action.
- Ensure successful **conversion of selected candidates into actual joiners**.
- Recruitment responsibility does not end with interview coordination; the HR professional is expected to drive the process until the candidate joins.
D. Recruitment MIS & Reporting
Prepare and submit **weekly recruitment MIS** covering:
- Approved manpower requirements
- Open vacancies
- Candidates sourced
- Candidates screened
- Candidates shortlisted
- Interviews scheduled
- Interviews completed
- Candidates selected
- Offers released
- Offers accepted
- Candidates joined
- Candidates rejected
- Candidates dropped / not joined
- Position-wise recruitment status
- Pending recruitment actions
- Expected joining dates
3. RECRUITMENT KPIs
The HR professional will be evaluated based on measurable recruitment performance, including:
- Recruitment closure against approved manpower requirements
- Time taken to close vacancies
- Candidate sourcing effectiveness
- Candidate-to-interview conversion
- Candidate-to-joining conversion
- Quality and suitability of candidates recruited
- Candidate pipeline strength for critical positions
- Candidate dropout / non-joining percentage
- Effectiveness of candidate follow-up
- Timely and accurate submission of recruitment MIS
- Ability to independently manage the complete recruitment cycle
4. CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate should be:
Proactive, responsible and result-oriented.
Strong in communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working directly with Management and Department Heads.
Capable of independently handling multiple vacancies simultaneously.
Strong in candidate sourcing and follow-up.
Good at maintaining recruitment trackers and MIS.
Comfortable working in a **manufacturing / engineering environment
Willing to take ownership and deliver recruitment results within defined timelines.
Practical and hands-on rather than purely administrative in approach.
5. KEY EXPECTATION
The HR professional will be expected to take complete ownership of recruitment results at FineTools — from manpower requirement identification to successful candidate joining.
The primary objective is to ensure that the right candidate is recruited, within the required timeline, for every approved vacancy.
