Role Description The HR – AAC Block Plant role is a full-time, on-site position based at Ekocon’s facility in Chennai. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day HR operations at the plant, including workforce planning, onboarding, documentation, and employee records management. The HR team member will implement and maintain HR policies, support performance management processes, and coordinate training and development activities for plant personnel. Daily tasks include handling employee queries, managing attendance and leave, coordinating payroll inputs and benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards. The role also involves supporting employee engagement initiatives, promoting a safe and inclusive work environment, and collaborating with plant leadership on HR-related decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, preferably with experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Ability to develop, implement, and interpret HR Policies while maintaining compliance with relevant labor and industrial regulations.
- Experience managing Employee Benefits, including leave, insurance, and welfare programs, with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Competence in Personnel Management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance support, and employee relations at plant level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; HR certifications are an advantage.
- Proficiency in HRMS or ERP tools, MS Office, and basic data reporting for HR metrics.
- Strong communication, conflict-resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and health and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.
