Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Specialist – Training & Quality to lead housekeeping training initiatives, standardize operational practices, and ensure consistent service excellence across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive housekeeping operations experience along with a strong background in training, quality audits, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver housekeeping training programs for housekeeping staff, supervisors, and team leaders.
- Conduct induction, refresher, and skill enhancement training sessions for new and existing employees.
- Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), training manuals, cleaning schedules, and operational checklists.
- Perform housekeeping quality audits and site inspections to ensure compliance with client standards and company policies.
- Train staff on cleaning techniques, chemical handling, equipment operation, infection control, and workplace safety.
- Evaluate employee performance through practical assessments and provide coaching to improve service quality.
- Identify training needs based on operational audits, client feedback, and performance reviews.
- Support site mobilization by training newly deployed housekeeping teams.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment, machinery, and consumables.
- Promote best practices in hygiene, sanitation, waste management, and customer service.
- Coordinate with operations teams to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare training reports, attendance records, audit findings, and performance improvement plans.
Qualifications
- Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5–10 years of experience in housekeeping operations, with at least 2–3 years in a training or quality role.
- Experience in facilities management, hospitality, healthcare, commercial, or corporate environments is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Hands-on experience with housekeeping chemicals, equipment, and mechanized cleaning.
- Excellent training, presentation, and coaching skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, infection control, and hygiene standards.
- Experience conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
