Role Description The Hospital Food Service Worker is a full-time, on-site role located in Uttarakhand, India. This role is responsible for preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors in accordance with hospital standards and dietary requirements. Daily tasks include assisting with food preparation, portioning and plating meals, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and keeping work areas, equipment, and serving stations clean and organized. The Hospital Food Service Worker interacts with patients and hospital staff, responds to meal-related requests, and supports inventory management and restocking of food and supplies. The role requires adherence to hospital policies, safety guidelines, and scheduled shifts to ensure consistent and reliable food service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Preparation and Food Service to support daily meal production and delivery.
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Safety to maintain hygiene, follow sanitation procedures, and comply with health regulations.
- Candidates should possess skills in Customer Service to interact respectfully with patients, staff, and visitors and respond to meal-related needs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Food & Beverage operations to handle basic kitchen equipment and support service in a hospital setting.
- Ability to follow instructions, hospital dietary guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Prior experience in hospital food service, institutional kitchen, or hospitality is an advantage.
- Basic education and literacy skills sufficient to read labels, instructions, and safety information.
