Role Description The Plant Head / Unit Head will lead overall operations for a Pharma OSD and Injectable manufacturing plant, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production activities. This full-time, on-site role is based in Bahadurgarh (Delhi NCR), Delhi, India, and involves managing day-to-day plant operations, including production planning, resource allocation, and adherence to regulatory and quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing production teams, coordinating with QA/QC, engineering, and supply chain functions, and driving continuous improvement in productivity, cost optimization, and GMP compliance. The role also requires monitoring budgets, ensuring timely execution of production schedules, supporting audits and inspections, and implementing best practices in safety, documentation, and process control. The Plant Head / Unit Head will report to senior management and contribute to strategic decisions related to capacity utilization, technology upgrades, and long-term operational performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Plant Operations and Production Management for OSD and Injectable formulations.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Production Planning and resource management to meet targets and timelines.
- Candidates should possess solid experience in Quality Control and compliance with GMP, regulatory, and safety standards.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Budgeting, cost control, and optimization of plant resources.
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related discipline; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Significant pharma production experience in OSD and Injectable plants is essential, preferably in a leadership or unit head role.
- Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to drive performance and accountability.
- Experience handling regulatory audits (e.g., WHO, GMP, national and international regulatory bodies) and plant certifications is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using production and quality documentation systems, MS Office, and relevant ERP tools.
