The Head of Marketing Strategy, Planning and Operations (Market Marketing Planner) is responsible for translating global and regional marketing priorities into integrated, executable market plans. This role ensures alignment among business objectives, category strategies, GTM priorities, and marketing investments - serving as the planning backbone for the Market Marketing team. The market marketing planner will partner with the market GTM marketing leads to deliver on the market business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Market Planning & Alignment
- Consolidate global, regional, and category priorities into a single market marketing plan aligned with business goals.
- Coordinate planning cycles (annual / half-year/quarterly), including targets, budgets, and priorities
- Ensure marketing plans are signed off with key stakeholders (Market, Category, GTM and WW teams)
Budget & Investment Planning
- Support budget allocation, phasing, and tracking across campaigns, programs, and initiatives.
- Build business cases for incremental investments and support trade‑off decisions.
- Track spend vs. plan and flag risks or reallocation opportunities.
4P & GTM Planning Support
- Support Category teams in 4P planning (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) at market level.
- Translate category and GTM priorities into actionable marketing program.
- Ensure consistency and sequencing across campaigns and motions (e.g., product, services, ABM).
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Act as the planning interface between Market Marketing, Category, Sales, Insights, Media, and Comms teams.
- Prepare planning inputs and outputs for leadership forums (quarterly business workshops, game plans, planning reviews).
- Ensure the voice of the market and customer is reflected in planning decisions.
Execution Readiness & Tracking
- Ensure plans are execution‑ready with clear priorities, KPIs, and dependencies.
- Track progress against plan and support corrective actions where needed.
- Maintain planning documentation, dashboards, and scorecards.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in marketing and marketing program management or category management
- Proven ability to manage complex planning cycles and multiple stakeholders.
- Financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, and investment trade‑off
- Structured, analytical mindset with strong communication skills
- Comfortable operating between strategy and execution
- Preferably with experience working in a large multinational tech organization
- 15+ years of total experience
