Role Description The Head of Finance and Accounting is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida, responsible for leading all financial planning, reporting, and accounting functions for GBG EV. This role oversees the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and manages budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making. Daily responsibilities include supervising the finance and accounting team, maintaining internal controls, managing cash flow, and coordinating with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies. The Head of Finance and Accounting will develop financial policies, optimize costs, monitor key financial metrics, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. This role collaborates closely with senior leadership to support fundraising, investor reporting, and long-term financial strategy for a rapidly scaling EV business.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to lead end-to-end finance and accounting functions.
- Expertise in Financial Statements and Budgeting, including preparation, review, and management of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, evaluate business performance, and support strategic decisions.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CMA, MBA in Finance, or equivalent, with experience in high-growth or asset-heavy businesses.
- Proven experience in managing finance teams, implementing robust internal controls, and working with auditors and financial institutions.
- Knowledge of Indian accounting standards, taxation, compliance, and regulatory frameworks relevant to fleet, mobility, or investment-focused companies.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present to senior management and investors.
