Guidewire Developer
Experience: 3-6 Years
Role Overview
We are seeking a Guidewire Developer with strong hands-on experience in Guidewire development and Gosu programming to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new functionality, delivering enhancements, configuring Guidewire applications, and contributing to development initiatives that support core insurance operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on application development, implementation, and enhancement projects, with a strong focus on coding and solution delivery rather than production support activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and enhance Guidewire applications and related components.
- Develop business functionality using Gosu programming language.
- Configure Guidewire business rules, workflows, and application components.
- Participate in new feature development, application enhancements, and build activities.
- Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA teams, business stakeholders, and development teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to successful project delivery.
- Follow development standards, coding best practices, and quality processes.

Required Qualifications
Experience
- 3-6 years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 2.5 years of relevant Guidewire development experience.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
Preferred Certifications
- Guidewire Certification
- Agile Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter.
- Commercial Lines Insurance domain experience.
- Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or BillingCenter.
- Knowledge of REST/SOAP integrations.
- Java development experience.
- Git and CI/CD exposure.
- AI exposure or use of AI-assisted development tools.
- Knowledge of Guidewire configuration best practices.
