None of it happens without the right guest saying yes. That's the job.
Role Overview
You'll find the guests for the show, reach out to them the right way, and get them to a yes. Not just any guest. The one whose story actually fits what Zero Protocol is trying to do.
There's a difference between:
• a guest who's famous
• a guest who's available
• a guest who's actually right for the show
Your job is to find the third kind, and to know the difference before you send the first message.
Key Responsibilities
• Research and build a running pipeline of potential guests across founders, creators, and thinkers
• Draft outreach that gets read and gets a reply, not deleted on sight
• Manage the back and forth from first message to confirmed recording date
• Coordinate with guests and their teams on logistics, scheduling, and pre-production needs
• Track outreach status, response rates, and what's working so the pipeline keeps improving
• Build and maintain relationships with guests, agents, and PR contacts for repeat access
What You Need to Be Good At
You should probably apply if:
- You can read a person's work and figure out the actual story worth telling, not just their title
- You write outreach messages that sound like a person wrote them, not a template
- You can follow up without being annoying, and know when to let something go
- You're organized enough to manage a pipeline with dozens of names in different stages
- You're fine working somewhere fast-moving where quality matters and nobody's going to hold your hand
- You can run with something without needing it spelled out
You'll probably do well here if:
• You've done outreach, booking, or talent coordination for a podcast, media brand, or events team
• You understand what makes someone a good guest beyond their follower count
• You're comfortable cold messaging people who have no reason to reply yet
• You have taste
• You have judgment
