Job details:
We're hiring a Growth Associate (Marketplaces) at Gully Labs.
This is an execution role, not a strategy role.
About the Company
We're building a household sneaker brand from Delhi that is unapologetically Indian. Handmade by 50+ karigars. Rooted in our streets, crafts and culture. Worn across India and beyond.
Building the brand is hard. Getting it in front of everyone who'd want it is harder.
A great sneaker nobody can find is just inventory.
About the Role
The problem we're hiring for is simple. Most of the time, we know what needs to be done. The gap is getting it done: from decision to live, and from live to a number that moved.
You're joining the growth team and working directly with Akshat Narula and Panav Jain.
Marketplaces are where you start and where most of your time goes. The rest goes into whatever the growth team needs. That will change as we grow, and so will your role.
Decision → execution → outcome. That's the job.
What you'll own
- Marketplaces (most of your week)
- Setting up new marketplaces from scratch: onboarding, catalog, pricing, listings, go-live
- Running existing ones day to day: visibility, ads, content, sale events, account health
- Inventory on every channel: what's live, in which sizes, in which warehouse, and what needs to move
- Everything else the growth team needs (the rest of your week)
- Demand planning: reading sell-through by style and size, and recommending what to reorder, push or stop
- Analysing new initiatives before and after we run them. Was it worth it? Do we do it again?
- Funnel and D2C analytics when a number looks off and someone needs to find out why
- Project managing across design, production, inventory and brand so nothing falls between teams
- Managing external vendors and agencies, and tracking whether they deliver what they committed to
- Anything else that moves the business and doesn't have an owner yet
You will not be expected to know how to do all of this on day one.
You will be expected to figure it out.
The question you'll ask constantly: what's stopping this from being live today?
How you'll be measured (first 6 months)
- Marketplaces that run without anyone chasing them
- You knowing their numbers better than anyone in the company
- New channels going from decision to first orders, fast
- Sale events planned from data, down to the size
- Initiatives taken from idea to a measured result. Not just "started".
- Something you picked up that was never in this description
Who we're looking for
Someone who has built something. Not just been part of something.
- You've built, started or fixed something on your own. It doesn't have to be big: a reselling page, a small online store, a college fest stall, a process at work you fixed without being asked. We care about direction, not size.
- Bonus if you've spent a year or more in a 0→1 journey, or in a founder's office working closely with the founder across the business.
- 1-3 years of experience. Years spent running your own thing count double.
Required Skills
- Very solid with numbers. Pivots, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH without Googling.
- You'd rather build the sheet than wait for someone to send it to you.
- A serious bias for action. You ship first and polish later.
- You see a problem and start fixing it. You don't explain why it can't be done.
- Comfortable telling an agency: "This was due Friday. What do you need to get it live today?"
Who this is not for
If your experience is running Meta campaigns or managing a seller panel inside a well-oiled system, and that's the whole story, this probably isn't the right fit.
Nothing wrong with that work. This role needs someone who's had to figure things out with no system at all.
How to Apply
Email with the subject line "Marketplaces | Your name | What you built, in 5 words" to these emails in cc- arnav@gullylabs.com, akshat.narula@gullylabs.com, panav@gullylabs.com
In the email body, answer this in under 200 words:
"Tell us about something you built, started or fixed on your own, however small. What did you start with, what did you do yourself, and what changed because of it?"
Attach your CV and mention your current and expected CTC.
Applications without the note won't be considered.
What happens next
We read every note. Shortlisted candidates get a short case built on real-shaped data. Then a conversation with Akshat and Panav.
Location: Delhi NCR, in office.
If you're the kind of person who sees a messy problem and can't stop yourself from fixing it, I'd like to hear from you.
And tag someone who's built something hatke.
