Company: Orkeneo AI Labs Private Limited
Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
Work Mode: Field-based | Early-stage startup
Experience: 0–3 years; relevant sales experience preferred
About Orkeneo
Orkeneo AI Labs is building an AI Decision Intelligence platform for restaurant and food-service operations. We help restaurants make smarter decisions around demand forecasting, inventory, procurement, and profitability.
We're building our go-to-market engine through direct sales, POS partnerships, structured pilots, and ROI-driven customer conversion.
We're looking for an ambitious, hands-on professional who wants to build our restaurant sales and customer acquisition engine from 0→1.
What You'll Own
1. Restaurant Acquisition & Field Sales
- Identify and approach multi-outlet restaurant brands, QSRs, restaurant chains, multi-brand cloud kitchens, and restaurant groups.
- Visit restaurants across Mumbai and connect with founders, owners, COOs, operations heads, and other decision-makers.
- Generate leads through cold calling, field visits, referrals, LinkedIn, and outbound outreach.
- Qualify prospects based on their operational challenges, outlet count, and suitability for Orkeneo.
2. Meetings, Demos & Conversion
- Independently generate qualified meetings with restaurant decision-makers.
- Explain Orkeneo's value proposition and coordinate product demos with the founding team.
- Handle initial objections and follow up consistently.
- Move qualified prospects towards structured pilots and customer onboarding.
3. Pilot Execution & Customer Success
- Coordinate onboarding for selected restaurant customers.
- Maintain regular communication during pilots and encourage consistent product usage.
- Collect feedback, identify adoption challenges, and work with the founding and product teams to resolve them.
- Help validate operational value and move successful pilots towards paid subscriptions.
4. POS Partnerships & Multi-Outlet Expansion
- Work with the founding team on leads and opportunities generated through POS partnerships.
- Coordinate with restaurant customers using supported POS systems to facilitate onboarding.
- Identify opportunities to expand successful deployments across additional outlets.
5. Build Sales from 0→1
- Establish a repeatable process for prospecting, meetings, follow-ups, onboarding, and pipeline tracking.
- Maintain clear records of leads, restaurant visits, demos, pilots, and conversion progress.
- Share customer objections, market insights, and product feedback with the founding team.
- Take ownership of execution and outcomes rather than waiting for inbound leads or step-by-step instructions.
Who We're Looking For
- Based in Mumbai and comfortable with regular field visits across the city.
- Strong communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable with cold calling, in-person sales, rejection, and persistent follow-ups.
- Self-driven, resourceful, and willing to work in an environment where processes are still evolving.
- Interested in B2B sales, SaaS, FoodTech, hospitality, or restaurant technology.
- Experience in restaurant/POS sales, food delivery, hospitality, or B2B business development is a plus.
- Candidates with strong initiative and execution skills are welcome, even if they haven't worked in a startup before.
Your First 90 Days
Days 1–30: Build a qualified target-account pipeline, start field outreach, generate meetings and demos, and understand restaurant pain points.
Days 31–60: Convert qualified opportunities into structured pilots and support restaurant onboarding.
Days 61–90: Improve pilot engagement, support ROI validation, and help establish a repeatable restaurant acquisition process.
Success will be measured through qualified opportunities, decision-maker meetings, pilot activation, outlet onboarding, customer engagement, and progress towards paid conversion—not just calls made or visits completed.
Founding Leadership & Career Growth
You'll work directly with the founding team and have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of Orkeneo's early sales execution.
As the business grows, this role may evolve into Head of Sales and potentially VP of Sales, based on demonstrated performance, revenue outcomes, leadership capability, and business requirements.
Compensation & Equity Opportunity
Orkeneo is currently at an early stage, and the initial engagement will be without a fixed salary. Approved business travel expenses will be reimbursed by the company.
- Initial phase: Expected to be around 2–3 months, but the timeline may vary depending on funding, revenue, and business progress.
- Early compensation transition: If funding or sufficient revenue comes earlier, a paid compensation structure may be introduced sooner, subject to company finances and mutually agreed terms.
- Initial ESOP opportunity: 0.1%–0.5%, based on individual contribution and performance against agreed milestones, subject to formal approval and applicable terms.
- Future compensation: Opportunity for a fixed salary and performance-based cash bonus as the business grows, subject to company finances and mutually agreed terms.
- Additional equity: Further equity may be considered as responsibilities expand and sustained business impact is demonstrated, subject to separate approval and written terms.
This opportunity is suited to someone who understands early-stage startup risk and wants to build something meaningful from the ground up.
Who Should Apply?
Someone who can turn a list of target restaurants into real conversations, qualified meetings, active pilots, and eventually paying customers.
If you want to build from 0→1, work closely with founders, and grow into a sales leadership role as the business scales, we'd love to hear from you.
How to Apply
Interested candidates can apply by sharing their resume and a brief introduction through either of the following:
