Job Title: Founder's Office – Business Development & Strategic Partnerships (Intern)
Location: BTM Layout, Bengaluru (Work From Office)
Employment Type: Internship (6 Months)
About the Role
We're looking for a driven, entrepreneurial individual to join the Founder's Office as a Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Intern. This is a high-ownership, target-driven role for someone who wants direct exposure to how a business identifies growth opportunities, builds strategic alliances, and drives revenue — working closely with the founder from day one.
You'll be involved in both business development (client-facing growth) and strategic partnerships (alliance-building with other businesses, platforms, or organizations) to help scale the company's reach and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Identify, research, and prioritize potential clients and business opportunities
- Conduct outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, networking) to generate leads
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients from first contact to closure
- Prepare pitches, proposals, and presentations for prospective clients and partners
- Support in negotiating and closing deals under founder's guidance
2. Strategic Partnerships
- Identify potential strategic partners, collaborators, and alliance opportunities aligned with company goals
- Research and map out relevant companies, platforms, and organizations for potential collaboration
- Support in structuring partnership proposals, MOUs, and collaboration frameworks
- Coordinate with partner organizations to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of joint initiatives
- Track partnership performance and identify opportunities to deepen or expand collaborations
3. Strategy & Founder Support
- Work directly with the founder on go-to-market strategy, partnership strategy, and growth initiatives
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business decisions
- Prepare reports, MIS, and presentations to track BD and partnership pipeline progress
- Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and partner meetings
Monthly Performance Targets
- Minimum 15 business development calls/meetings per month with prospective clients or partners
- Minimum 3 client or partnership closures per month (signed deals, confirmed collaborations, or MOUs)
- Consistent pipeline tracking and reporting against these targets
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — confident engaging with founders, decision-makers, and partners
- Target-driven mindset with strong potential to meet outreach and closure goals
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Self-starter mentality with high ownership and comfort working in a fast-paced, unstructured startup environment
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple relationships/initiatives simultaneously
- Prior experience/internship in BD, sales, or partnerships is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be based in or willing to commute to Bengaluru; this is a full-time, in-office internship at our BTM Layout office
Compensation
- Months 1–3: ₹8,000/month stipend
- Months 4–6: ₹15,000/month stipend
- Total internship duration: 6 months, with potential for full-time conversion based on performance against targets
Why Join Us
- Direct mentorship and visibility with the founder/leadership team
- Steep learning curve across business development, partnerships, and strategy
- High ownership from day one, with real exposure to founder-level decision-making
- Strong foundation for a full-time role or career in BD/strategy/consulting
- Opportunity to build a valuable professional network early in your career
