Job Title: Finance Manager

ISRN partners with corporates, foundations, government agencies, and development organizations to create sustainable social impact.
Job Purpose
The Finance Manager will lead the Finance & Accounts function of ISRN and ensure sound financial management, statutory compliance, donor compliance, and effective financial planning for the organization. The position will play a key role in managing finances of CSR, domestic and foreign-funded projects, providing financial insights to management, and strengthening internal financial systems.
The Finance Manager will work closely with the Director, Programme Teams, CSR partners, auditors, consultants, donors, and statutory authorities to ensure transparency, accountability, and financial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting in coordination with programme teams.
- Monitor project-wise and organization-wide budgets and ensure optimum utilization of funds.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, MIS, cash flow statements, and budget variance analysis for management and the Board.
- Manage organizational cash flow and working capital requirements.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting systems.
Accounts & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts, ledgers, bank reconciliations, fixed asset registers, and project-wise accounting.
- Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate statutory, internal, donor, and project audits.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, TDS, GST (where applicable), EPF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Laws, and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure complete compliance with FCRA regulations and donor guidelines.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
CSR & Donor Financial Management
- Manage financial administration of CSR-funded and donor-funded projects.
- Prepare project budgets, financial proposals, fund utilization certificates, financial reports, and donor reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with CSR funding agreements, donor conditions, and reporting timelines.
- Support programme teams in financial planning, grant management, and project implementation.
- Maintain strong financial relationships with CSR partners, foundations, and funding agencies.
Administration & Operational Support
- Support the Director in organizational financial planning and strategic decision-making.
- Supervise finance and administrative staff and ensure efficient financial operations.
- Assist in Board presentations, annual reports, and management reports.
- Oversee vendor payments, procurement-related financial processes, and contract compliance.
- Ensure proper safeguarding of organizational assets and financial resources.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the seniors.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Commerce, Accountancy, or related discipline.
- CA /CMA/CA/CFO qualified candidates will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Prior experience in NGOs, development organizations, CSR implementing agencies, or donor-funded projects is essential.
- Experience in independently managing the Finance function of an organization.
Desired Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Thorough understanding of FCRA, Income Tax, TDS, GST, NGO accounting, and statutory compliance.
- Good understanding of CSR regulations and financial management of CSR-funded projects.
- Experience in donor reporting, grant management, and utilization certificate preparation.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, MS Excel (advanced), MS Office, and financial MIS.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to establish financial systems and strengthen internal controls.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Compensation: ₹6.5 – ₹7.5 LPA (CTC), depending on experience, qualifications, and organizational salary structure.
