Role Description The Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for overseeing the financial health and sustainability of The Old Delhi. Day-to-day tasks include managing budgets, monitoring cash flow, preparing financial statements, and analyzing revenue and cost trends to support decision-making. The role involves implementing and maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and local financial laws. The Finance Manager will collaborate with operations, procurement, and leadership teams to optimize menu costing, vendor payments, and investment planning. Additional responsibilities include forecasting, financial reporting for management, coordinating with external auditors or consultants, and recommending process improvements for financial efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Experience with financial controls, compliance, and tax regulations relevant to hospitality or food and beverage businesses.
- Ability to work with financial software, spreadsheets, and ERP or POS systems to track and interpret financial data.
- Solid understanding of cost management, inventory control, and pricing strategies for restaurant or retail environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and present financial insights to leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, CPA, or MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within hospitality, food service, or consumer-focused businesses.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
