Role Description The Field Collection Team Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for supervising and guiding a team of field collection executives. The role involves planning daily collection activities, assigning and reviewing targets, and monitoring performance and compliance with collection policies and regulatory guidelines. The Team Leader will handle escalated customer interactions, support resolution of complex debt cases, and ensure accurate documentation and reporting of all collection activities. This position also requires collaborating with finance and operations teams, analyzing collection data to improve strategies, and coaching team members through regular feedback and training to achieve collection goals while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Debt Collection and Finance skills to manage field collections, understand repayment structures, and support compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills to handle escalations, communicate clearly with customers, and maintain professional, respectful interactions during collection activities.
- Candidates should possess proven Team Leadership skills to supervise field staff, set targets, provide coaching, and foster a high-performance, ethically driven collection environment.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret collection data, track performance metrics, and recommend process improvements and strategies based on insights.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, business administration, or a related field are preferred.
- Prior experience in field collections, credit control, or related financial services roles, especially in a leadership or supervisory capacity, is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, proficiency in basic office and reporting tools, and familiarity with local regulatory guidelines related to collections are advantageous.
