Role Description The Façade Design Manager will lead the design and coordination of building façade systems, ensuring technical accuracy, aesthetic quality, and compliance with project requirements and local regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing façade concepts, preparing detailed drawings and specifications, reviewing structural and performance criteria, and coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendors. The role involves overseeing design reviews, resolving technical issues on site, monitoring material selection and shop drawings, and supporting installation teams with clear design guidance. The Façade Design Manager will also manage timelines, documentation, and quality checks to ensure that façade works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of façade design principles, building envelopes, and materials (glass, metal, cladding systems, sealants, insulation).
- Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools, with the ability to produce detailed façade drawings and 3D models.
- Experience coordinating with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to align façade design with overall project objectives.
- Understanding of relevant building codes, safety standards, thermal and acoustic performance requirements, and façade testing procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and design quality.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, including the ability to present design options, write technical reports, and participate in client meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; advanced studies in façade engineering are an advantage.
- Previous experience in façade design, façade project management, or building envelope consultancy is highly beneficial.
