Role Description This is a full-time, on-site EV Charger Installation Technician role based in Hyderabad. The technician will install, configure, and test EV charging stations at customer locations, ensuring safe and compliant electrical connections. Day-to-day work includes reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing wiring and panel work, mounting hardware, and coordinating with site managers or customers to plan installation schedules. The role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, performing basic maintenance, documenting work performed, and following safety procedures and local electrical codes. The technician will collaborate with engineering and support teams to report field observations, improve installation quality, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications
- Strong electrical installation and maintenance skills, including experience with wiring, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and local electrical codes; commitment to safe work practices.
- Practical experience using hand tools, power tools, testing meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for hardware and basic software-related issues.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers, site supervisors, and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently on-site, manage time, and handle multiple installations or service calls.
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field; valid electrician certification or license is an advantage.
- Experience in EV charging, renewable energy, or similar field service roles is a plus.
- Willingness to work in the field, travel to customer sites in and around Hyderabad, and occasionally work flexible hours.
