Role Description The Environment Executive will be responsible for supporting clients with environmental compliance, documentation, and coordination related to regulatory clearances and approvals. This full-time, on-site role based in Guwahati includes conducting environmental assessments, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports and applications, and assisting in audits and inspections with government and regulatory bodies. The role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental laws, rules, and guidelines, and helping clients implement compliance measures and corrective actions. The Environment Executive will collaborate with internal consultants and client teams, track project timelines, and ensure accurate record-keeping for environmental permits, waste management, and related industrial requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, compliance processes, and documentation related to clearances, permits, and industrial operations.
- Ability to conduct field visits, collect data, support environmental impact assessments, and liaise with regulatory authorities and client representatives.
- Proficiency in report writing, drafting official correspondence, and preparing applications and submissions for environmental and industrial approvals.
- Good analytical, organizational, and time-management skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a consulting environment and interact professionally with stakeholders.
- Basic computer skills, including use of office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email) and digital file management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or relevant certifications in environmental management are an advantage.
- Prior experience or internships in environmental compliance, industrial consulting, or related domains within Northeast India will be considered beneficial.
