Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and
onboarding SME and mid-market customers for various lending products. The role
demands relationship-building ability, and drive to achieve monthly and quarterly lending
targets.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role requiring deep market understanding and the ability
to engage CXOs, finance teams, promoters, and channel partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Acquisition & Pipeline Development
❖ Identify, qualify, and acquire SME and mid-market clients.
❖ Build a strong funnel through Client Interaction/Client Meetings.
❖ Drive consistent month-on-month originations across product lines.
- Deal Structuring & Product Advisory
❖ Structure facility proposals (working capital, term loans, supply chain
finance, bill discounting, and structured debt solutions).
❖ Coordinate with credit teams for approvals.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management
❖ Conduct in-depth client meetings.
❖ Manage complete borrower journey from lead to disbursement.
❖ Maintain long-term renewal and cross-sell relationships.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams
❖ Work with credit, ops, and disbursement teams.
❖ Provide market insights to product teams.

What We’re Looking For:
- 3-8 years of experience in SME/Corporate Lending, Supply Chain Finance,
term loans, invoice discounting, and structured debt products.
- Strong understanding of working capital cycles, term loans, SCF, invoice discounting,
and structured debt products.
- Ability to read financials and banking statements with solid communication and
negotiation skills.
- Relationship-focused field sales approach with high ownership and target
orientation.
- Self-motivated, persistent, and able to perform in a fast-paced, growth-driven
Environment.
