Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electronic Technician role based in Karnataka, India. The Electronic Technician will assemble, install, and maintain electronic components and devices used in health-monitoring and research equipment, including diagnostic tools such as Nadiswara.
Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, testing circuits and systems, identifying faults, and carrying out repairs and component replacements to ensure reliable operation. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics, performing precise soldering work, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and test results. The technician will collaborate with researchers and engineering teams to support prototype development, implement design improvements, and uphold safety and quality standards in the laboratory and workshop.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electronics Technology and Electricity, with the ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams and technical documentation.
- Hands-on proficiency in Soldering and electronic assembly, including working with small components and ensuring high-quality connections.
- Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing faults in electronic systems and devices, using test equipment and systematic problem-solving.
- Experience in Maintenance & Repair of electronic instruments, including preventive maintenance, calibration, and documentation of service activities.
- Diploma, certificate, or degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and basic use of tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, follow standardized procedures, and adapt to a research-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in medical devices, health technology, or R&D settings is an advantage.
