Role Description The Multi-Skilled Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Aldovia Resort & Convention in Bengaluru. The role involves performing day-to-day maintenance and repair tasks across the property, including guest rooms, event spaces, common areas, and back-of-house facilities. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and basic mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. The technician will respond to service requests, conduct routine inspections, support event setup and breakdown, and coordinate with other departments to minimize disruption to guests and events. This role also includes maintaining tools and supplies, adhering to safety and compliance standards, and documenting work completed for ongoing facility management.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in general maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical work, HVAC support, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.
- Experience in facility operations within hospitality, resorts, hotels, or large event venues, with an understanding of guest-centric service.
- Ability to diagnose issues, prioritize tasks, follow preventive maintenance schedules, and complete work with attention to safety and quality.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with housekeeping, events, and front office teams, and to interact courteously with guests.
- Capability to work on-site in Bengaluru, with flexibility for shifts, weekends, and high-demand event periods.
- Relevant vocational training, certification, or diploma in electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance disciplines; prior experience in a similar role preferred.
- Basic computer skills for logging maintenance requests, updating work records, and following digital checklists or facility management systems.
