Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Plumbing Technician role based in Karnataka, India. The Plumbing Technician will install, maintain, and repair pipes, fittings, valves, and related plumbing systems used in Fasal’s farm automation infrastructure. Core responsibilities include diagnosing leaks and blockages, performing routine preventive maintenance, and ensuring plumbing systems support reliable irrigation and fertigation operations. The role involves responding to service requests, collaborating with field and engineering teams, and maintaining accurate records of work performed. The Plumbing Technician will also interact with farm operators and partners, providing clear communication and professional customer service during on-site visits.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in plumbing installation and repair, including working with various pipe materials and fittings.
- Candidates should possess skills in maintenance and maintenance & repair, with the ability to perform troubleshooting and preventive servicing of plumbing systems.
- Candidates should possess customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and maintain professional relationships on-site.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in plumbing or a related trade is preferred.
- Experience working in agricultural, industrial, or field-service environments is an advantage.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings, follow safety procedures, and use hand and power tools safely.
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions, travel within Karnataka as needed, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
