Role Description The Electronic Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore. This role involves designing and developing electronic circuits and systems for automotive electrical and lighting products, from concept through validation and production. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating schematics, selecting components, performing simulations, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting prototype development and testing. The engineer will also troubleshoot design issues, ensure compliance with automotive standards, prepare technical documentation, and work closely with manufacturing to ensure product reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electronic Engineering and Electronics, with the ability to apply these principles to automotive applications.
- Hands-on experience in Circuit Design, including schematic development, component selection, and circuit simulation.
- Knowledge of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to power distribution, safety, and reliability in vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in Analog circuit design for lighting, sensing, and control applications.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with CAD/EDA tools for PCB design and layout, and familiarity with automotive standards and regulations is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, perform root-cause analysis, and support testing and validation activities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet project deadlines on-site in Coimbatore.
