Role Description
The Catia Trainer Mechanical role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. The trainer will conduct classroom and lab sessions on CATIA for mechanical engineering learners, covering core design, modelling, drafting, and assembly concepts aligned with industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, delivering lectures and demonstrations, guiding learners through hands-on projects, and evaluating their performance through assignments and assessments. The role also involves updating training materials to reflect the latest CATIA features and mechanical design practices, providing individual mentoring, and coordinating with the training management team to ensure high-quality program delivery and placement readiness. The trainer is expected to maintain a safe, professional learning environment and support continuous improvement of the training curriculum.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong proficiency in CATIA for mechanical design, including 3D modelling, surface modelling, drafting, and assembly design.
- Candidates should possess solid mechanical engineering fundamentals in areas such as machine design, manufacturing processes, GD&T, and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Candidates should possess instructional and training skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, learner assessment, and mentoring.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and interpersonal skills to explain technical concepts clearly and engage diverse groups of learners.
- Candidates should possess basic computer literacy and familiarity with CAD workstations, software installation, and file management in an educational or lab environment.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as a CATIA trainer, CAD engineer, or design engineer in an industrial or training setup will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Coimbatore, adapt to structured training schedules, and collaborate with internal teams to support placement outcomes.
