Role Description The Technical Utility Electrical Mechanical Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Coimbatore, responsible for the upkeep and smooth functioning of utility, electrical, and mechanical systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults, and supporting operational continuity for client facilities. The role involves working with electrical and mechanical installations, ensuring compliance with safety standards, documenting maintenance activities, and coordinating with supervisors and other technicians to plan repairs and upgrades. The technician will also assist in commissioning new equipment, responding to breakdowns promptly, and recommending improvements to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in electrical maintenance and handling electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of electricity principles and practical experience in electrical engineering applications.
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting abilities for diagnosing and resolving electrical system issues.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline from a recognized institution.
- Experience in utility systems, industrial maintenance, or facility management is preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and associated controls is beneficial.
- Understanding of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and relevant electrical standards.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals, with good documentation and communication skills.
