ABOUT US
CultureMonkey is a fast-growing HR Tech SaaS company, helping organizations across 100+ countries build great workplace cultures. We are known for our innovative approach, using employee engagement surveys and AI-powered insights to transform companies.
At CultureMonkey, we value simplicity, efficiency and results, and our company culture reflects that: fast-paced, collaborative and deeply focused on delivering real impact for our clients.
THE SHIFT WE ARE HIRING FOR
HR buyers no longer start on Google. They open ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity, describe their situation in a paragraph, and ask which platform fits. By the time they reach our website, the shortlist is already written.
That changes what inbound means. Rankings still matter, but so does whether an answer engine can read our pages, trust them and name us in a recommendation. We have proof it works: AI referrals are a small share of our traffic and a disproportionate share of our qualified demo bookings, and the buyers who arrive that way come in with a written brief and an enterprise headcount.
We are looking for someone to own that surface deliberately rather than hope it keeps happening.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A seasoned marketing professional with 7 to 10 years in global SaaS markets, who will own inbound demand by combining rigorous SEO, answer engine optimization and content operations with strong product awareness.
You should be:
- A product-aware marketer who works closely with Product and Sales, not a siloed content owner
- Able to show wins where organic and product-informed content moved pipeline, not just traffic
- Fluent in how retrieval and citation actually work in AI answers, and honest about what is still unproven
- Strong on CRO fundamentals and page speed, with examples of conversion lifts
- Hands-on with GA4, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Ahrefs or Semrush, an AI visibility tracker, Clarity or Hotjar, and an A or B testing tool
- Able to brief and review product GIFs or micro-demos and turn product notes into buyer-ready messaging
- An excellent writer and editor with a clear, practical voice
- Comfortable leading a high-output team with a hands-on, nimble approach and a data-driven mindset
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
AI discovery (AEO and GEO)
- Own the AEO roadmap: which buyer prompts we intend to be cited for, which engines we prioritize, and what good looks like per quarter
- Run prompt-set research across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot and Google AI Overviews, and track citation share against competitors per engine, because visibility on one does not carry to another
- Build page structures that answer engines can extract: answer-first openings, self-contained sections, question-shaped headings, tables and lists that survive being quoted out of context
- Own structured data as a discovery asset, not a checkbox: Article, FAQPage, HowTo, ItemList, Dataset, DefinedTerm and BreadcrumbList, kept consistent with what the page actually says
- Own crawler access for AI agents alongside traditional bots, including robots directives, rendering, indexing speed and log-level monitoring of which agents fetch which pages
- Scale the comparison and alternatives format that already earns us citations, which works because it carries an explicit verdict rather than a neutral feature grid
- Build entity and authority signals: named authors with real credentials, reviewed-by experts, consistent descriptions of who we are, and original research that other sources have a reason to cite
Product-aware inbound
- Translate product capabilities and UX flows into landing page structures, on-page copy and short product GIFs
- Build comparison, alternatives, integration and use-case pages anchored on real buyer evaluation criteria
- Publish content clusters that mix analyst-style POVs with tactical playbooks for HR leaders and managers
- Publish first-party benchmark and research content that gives answer engines something only we have
SEO and content operations
- Own technical hygiene: crawl health, internal linking, schema markup, Core Web Vitals and international targeting
- Prioritize BOFU and mid-intent topics, and use programmatic scale where it fits our quality bar
- Maintain a high editorial bar with tight briefs, expert quotes, fact-checking and review cycles
- Run refresh cycles on decayed pages with a documented, repeatable rebuild standard rather than one-off edits
CRO and website ownership
- Treat the website as a product with page-type goals and a steady A or B testing cadence
- Use analytics and session recordings to form hypotheses and iterate quickly
- Improve speed and accessibility, reduce form friction, and place social proof for maximum lift
Measurement and attribution
- Own the reporting line from AI citation to session to demo booking to pipeline, and be willing to say when a number is not trustworthy
- Separate human traffic from bot and crawler traffic before reporting anything, using server logs rather than tag-based analytics alone
- Keep self-reported awareness source, UTM data and CRM attribution reconciled, and audit them rather than taking either at face value
- Report a small set of honest metrics: AI citation share per engine, non-brand organic clicks and position, qualified demo bookings by source, and conversion rate by page type
Research, positioning and proof
- Keep competitor teardowns and positioning maps current, and update messaging accordingly
- Orchestrate customer stories, mini product tours and short feature clips for web and social
- Grow G2 and Capterra review velocity, and mine quotes for pages and ads
- Build presence on the third-party surfaces AI engines lean on most, including review platforms, industry listicles, community discussions and expert roundups, since being named across many independent sources compounds more than any single page we own
Leadership and operations
- Lead a team of about 10 across SEO, content, design and marketing ops
- Build quarterly plans, budgets and OKRs, and manage agencies with clear briefs and SLAs
- Document learnings and scale what works across templates and playbooks
- Use AI tooling in the content pipeline without lowering the editorial bar, and own the quality gate
NICE TO HAVE
- HR tech or employee engagement domain familiarity
- Programmatic SEO at scale for comparisons, integrations and templates
- Experience building demand through third-party ecosystems and review platforms, for example HRIS app marketplaces, G2 or Capterra
- Experience with a codebase-driven marketing site, where pages ship through version control and review rather than a drag and drop CMS
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JSON-LD, enough to spec and review changes yourself
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
First 90 days: a baseline of where we are cited today and by which engine, a ranked prompt set we intend to win, and the first cohort of pages rebuilt to that standard.
First year: measurable citation share on the buyer prompts that matter, non-brand organic recovered and growing, and a reporting line that connects AI discovery to booked pipeline without hand-waving.
Be an important part of an employee-first org that walks the talk around building culture.
