Role Description The Delivery Partner role at Shadowfax is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. Delivery Partners are responsible for picking up parcels from designated hubs or partner locations and delivering them safely and on time to customers across the city. Daily tasks include verifying shipment details, following assigned routes, handling packages with care, and using mobile applications to update delivery status and capture proof of delivery. The role also involves interacting with customers in a professional manner, managing cash or digital payments when required, and coordinating with supervisors or hub staff to resolve any issues. Delivery Partners are expected to follow all traffic and safety regulations, maintain punctuality, and support high-quality service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills with the ability to communicate clearly, handle queries, and provide a positive delivery experience.
- Experience in Sales or Food & Beverage roles that demonstrates client-facing interaction, reliability, and service orientation.
- Basic Training experience or willingness to learn and follow operational procedures, safety guidelines, and technology tools.
- Ability to safely operate equipment and vehicles; prior Forklift Operation or warehouse handling experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving license (as applicable), a roadworthy vehicle, and familiarity with local routes in Kolkata.
- Comfort using smartphones and delivery applications to navigate, update delivery status, and manage digital payments.
- Ability to lift and carry parcels, work on shifts including weekends or holidays, and maintain punctuality and reliability.
- Prior experience in logistics, courier, or last-mile delivery is an advantage, but motivated entry-level candidates are also encouraged to apply.
