Type: Full-time, On-site

Lunar Wave LLC is looking for a Creative Strategist who can consistently develop high-performing ad concepts for our portfolio of US-focused e-commerce brands.
We test and scale a high volume of creatives on Meta. Your job is to understand why people buy, why ads work, and how to turn customer problems, desires, objections and market insights into ads that convert.
This is not a social media content role. Your work will be measured by the performance of the ads you create.
What You’ll Do
- Research products, customers, competitors and markets deeply
- Identify customer pain points, desires, objections, awareness levels and buying triggers
- Develop new angles, hooks, concepts and offers for Meta ads
- Write detailed creative briefs for video editors and designers
- Create concepts for UGC, VSL-style ads, image ads, advertorial-style creatives, demonstrations, problem/solution ads and other direct-response formats
- Develop ads around the root cause of the customer's problem, not just surface-level benefits
- Study competitor ads and identify patterns and opportunities without simply copying them
- Analyze our winning and losing creatives to understand why they performed
- Turn winning concepts into multiple new iterations and variations
- Work closely with Media Buyers to understand performance data and decide what to test next
- Work with editors and designers to make sure the final creative matches the strategy
- Build and maintain a structured creative testing pipeline
- Use AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, scripting and creative production
- Continuously find new creative formats and advertising trends in the US market
What We're Looking For
- Strong understanding of direct-response advertising
- Experience creating or strategizing performance creatives for Meta Ads
- Strong understanding of hooks, angles, customer psychology and market awareness
- Ability to research a product and quickly understand why someone would buy it
- Good copywriting and scriptwriting ability
- Strong analytical mindset. You should be comfortable looking at ad performance data and using it to make your next creative decision
- Experience with US e-commerce or DTC brands is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Library and competitor research
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT for research and ideation
- Able to manage creative strategy across multiple products simultaneously
The Person We're Looking For
We don't want someone who produces 20 random ideas and hopes one works.
We want someone who can look at a product and ask:
Who exactly is buying this?
What problem are they actually trying to solve?
What have they already tried?
Why didn't it work?
What do they believe is causing their problem?
What is the real cause?
What would make them stop scrolling?
What proof would make them believe us?
What angle haven't competitors exploited yet?
Then turn those answers into ads.
Your Success Will Be Measured By
The number of ads you produce is not the main KPI.
We care about:
Winning creative rate • CPA • ROAS • Creative longevity • Spend scaled through your concepts • Number of new scalable angles discovered
A great Creative Strategist here should help us take a winning product and develop enough creative depth to scale it consistently, rather than constantly depending on finding the next product.
To Apply
Please send your resume along with 3–5 performance ads or creative strategies you've worked on.
For each example, briefly explain:
1. What was the product?
2. What was the angle?
3. Why did you choose that angle?
4. What was the hook?
5. What happened after the ad was launched?
Applications that only include social media posts, branding work or generic content calendars will not be considered.
