Role Description The Cluster Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Uttarakhand, India, overseeing HR operations across Tarangi’s properties, including Jim Corbett and Mussoorie. This role manages recruitment and onboarding, ensuring staffing levels and role fit for all departments while maintaining a positive candidate experience. The manager oversees performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives to support high service standards and professional growth. Daily responsibilities include handling employee relations, advising managers on HR policies, managing payroll inputs and attendance data, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and resort-specific policies. The role also involves developing HR processes and frameworks, supporting organizational change, and collaborating closely with property leadership to sustain a safe, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations across multiple locations or units.
- Strong skills in HR policy development, compliance with local labor laws, documentation, and maintaining accurate HR records and HRIS systems.
- Ability to design and deliver training, support talent development, and drive employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution, coaching, and providing guidance to managers and team members in a fair, respectful, and inclusive manner.
- Experience in hospitality or service-driven industries, with an understanding of hotel operations and guest-centric service culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse staff groups.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with data-driven decision-making and HR metrics.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; professional HR certifications are an advantage.
- Comfort working on-site in hill and forest destinations, with flexibility to travel between properties as needed.
