Position Overview
As Client Acquisition Manager, you will own new business for the AP & Telangana territory — identifying, engaging and closing partnerships with educational institutions and corporate clients. The role combines Go-to-Market ownership with hands-on consultative selling: you will build the acquisition strategy, run the full sales lifecycle end to end, and convert it into predictable, profitable revenue while building relationships that last beyond the first contract.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy driving customer acquisition, revenue growth and market expansion in the education sector.
- Create account acquisition plans and run targeted sales campaigns to penetrate assigned territories and market segments.
- Track market trends, competitor activity and pricing movements to continuously refine acquisition strategy.
Pipeline & Prospecting
- Identify, qualify and prospect new institutional, corporate and strategic accounts in line with company growth objectives.
- Build, manage and nurture a robust sales pipeline through lead generation, networking, referrals and market research.
- Maintain pipeline hygiene in the CRM and deliver accurate weekly and monthly forecasts.
Consultative Selling & Deal Closure
- Conduct customer discovery meetings to understand institutional needs and position the right solution through a consultative approach.
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle — lead qualification, solution presentation, proposal development, commercial negotiation, contract closure and structured account handover.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals while protecting margin and ensuring profitable growth.
Relationship & Account Management
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with principals, correspondents, procurement teams and other key decision-makers within target organisations.
- Act as the escalation and trust anchor during onboarding, ensuring client satisfaction, retention and repeat business.
Delivery & Collaboration
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets while maintaining healthy profit margins and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, Operations and Finance to ensure seamless customer onboarding and successful solution implementation.
- Travel regularly across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to build presence and close business on ground.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 8–10 years in B2B sales / client acquisition, preferably in EdTech, education supplies or institutional sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and owning a territory end to end.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, branding and technology skills.
- Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and build long-term relationships.
- Working familiarity with CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
- High level of initiative, adaptability and ownership.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience working with schools, school groups or educational bodies.
- Understanding of the education ecosystem and how institutional buying decisions are made.
- An existing network of institutional decision-makers across AP & Telangana.
