What you’ll do
- Run my agenda. Own priorities, set the operating rhythm, and make sure every decision becomes an outcome with a name and a date on it.
- Build ventures from 0 to 1, not dependent on published market research but read markets. Build FCF ramps, not just business models, forge partnerships for scale-up and pilot conversations. You’ll be in the room, not reading the notes afterwards.
- We translate science into business, not talk about it. Work with scientists, formulators, engineers and operators, and turn technical depth into clear commercial steps. We refer to strategy decks only to build the next concrete action.
- Understand why people actually buy, not just read revenues and channel velocity. We know that most innovation is built from the outside in: features, ingredients, trends. We work from the inside out. Human motivation hasn’t changed in thousands of years, and once you understand it intrinsically, you traverse this matrix to a novel market.
- Scale one step at a time. We hold wide visions but move deliberately: 1 to 2, then 2 to 3. You’ll build the playbooks, metrics and systems that make each step repeatable.
- Represent me. Lead conversations with investors, partners and key hires. Prepare board and investor materials sharp enough to send without my edits.
- Take on whatever matters most. Some weeks that’s a fundraise. Some weeks it’s a broken supply chain. You go where the problem is.
Who you are
- You don’t take no for an answer when something needs doing, and you question the status quo by instinct.
- You love hard, messy problems that don’t come with a brief.
- You reason from first principles, not playbooks.
- You can hold your own with a biochemist in the morning and a distributor in the afternoon.
- You think in structure, write clearly, and never wait to be told.
- You’re curious about biology or behaviour. No science degree needed, but you want to know why things work.
