Chief Executive Officer
Position Summary
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) shall provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to Vagbhata Wellness and AYUSH Research Centre. The CEO will be responsible for developing the Centre into a nationally and internationally recognised institution for Integrative Healthcare, Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Lifestyle Medicine, AYUSH Research, Wellness Tourism, Preventive Healthcare, Education, Innovation, and Community Health.
CEO Role and Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute the long-term vision, strategic plan, and annual operational goals of the Centre.
· Lead institutional growth while ensuring financial sustainability and operational excellence.
· Represent the Centre before government agencies, universities, healthcare organizations, corporate partners, and international institutions.
Clinical & Wellness Operations
· Supervise Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Lifestyle Medicine, Panchakarma, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, and Wellness Diagnostics.
· Ensure high-quality patient care, safety, ethical practices, and client satisfaction.
· Implement evidence-based wellness protocols and standard operating procedures.
Research & Innovation
· Establish a Centre of Excellence for AYUSH and Integrative Medicine research.
· Promote clinical trials, publications, patents, funded research projects, and innovation.
· Develop collaborations with CCRYN, CCRAS, ICMR, AIIMS, IITs, universities, and international institutions.
Academic & Training Leadership
· Develop certificate, diploma, fellowship, internship, and continuing education programmes.
· Promote faculty development, student mentoring, conferences, workshops, and academic collaborations.
Business Development & Wellness Tourism
· Expand wellness retreats, executive health packages, corporate wellness programmes, medical value travel, and digital wellness services.
· Strengthen branding, marketing, fundraising, and strategic partnerships.
Financial & Administrative Management
· Prepare annual budgets, monitor revenue, optimize resources, and ensure statutory compliance.
· Lead governance, audits, procurement, and risk management.
Quality & Accreditation
· Lead NABH, AYUSH, ISO, and other accreditation initiatives.
· Monitor quality indicators and continuous improvement programmes.
Human Resource Leadership
· Recruit, mentor, and retain multidisciplinary professionals.
· Create a culture of innovation, ethics, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Community Outreach
· Promote preventive healthcare through camps, school programmes, corporate wellness, rural outreach, and public awareness initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Growth in revenue and financial sustainability
· Patient/client satisfaction and clinical outcomes
· Research publications, grants, patents, and collaborations
· Expansion of wellness programmes and wellness tourism
· Academic programmes and training initiatives
· Regulatory compliance and accreditation achievements

Qualifications & Experience
· Doctoral degree or Master's in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Public Health, MBA (Healthcare), Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Lifestyle Medicine, or related discipline.
· Minimum 15 years of professional experience with at least 8–10 years in a senior leadership role.
· Strong knowledge of AYUSH systems, integrative healthcare, research administration, wellness tourism, and hospital/wellness management.
· Excellent leadership, communication, financial planning, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
