Company Description
Barefolk is a fermentation-led kitchen driven by an ingredient-first approach that embraces seasonality, regional produce, and the freedom to reinterpret flavors through curiosity and craft. Built on the belief that food is alive, shaped by time, microbes, and intention, Barefolk reimagines flavours through fermentation, where ancient wisdom meets contemporary technique. We believe in radical collaboration and continuous education, offering our culinary team the mentorship and environment needed to develop technical mastery and redefine ingredients.
Role Description
As a Junior Chef at Barefolk, you will be an essential part of our daily kitchen operations and innovative culinary program. This role is designed for passionate cooks eager to immerse themselves in our "always evolving" ingredient-first approach. On a day-to-day basis, you will assist in prepping and executing dishes, ensuring all plates meet our presentation standards while expressing our unique, fermentation-driven flavor profiles. You will work closely with senior chefs in both our main kitchen and our dedicated fermentation lab to prepare, monitor, and maintain ferments and learning firsthand how time, microbes, and intention shape our menu. This full-time, on-site role in New Delhi requires a highly organised approach, a deep curiosity for contemporary techniques, and strict adherence to specialised food safety and hygiene protocols.

Background: Relevant culinary education or foundational hands-on kitchen experience is preferred, but a genuine passion for curiosity, craft, and a strong work ethic are the most valued traits.
Commitment: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
