Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Ernakulam. The Chartered Accountant will handle statutory and internal audits, prepare and review financial statements, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. The role includes overseeing direct and indirect tax matters, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and assisting with tax planning and assessments. The professional will support clients with financial reporting, budgeting, and advisory assignments, including analysis of financial data and preparation of management reports. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve coordination with clients, documentation and working paper preparation, and staying updated on changes in accounting, auditing, and tax laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Chartered Accountant qualification (CA) with membership in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, audit procedures, and financial reporting frameworks.
- Practical experience or exposure to statutory audits, internal audits, and preparation/review of financial statements.
- Knowledge of Indian taxation (direct and indirect), including tax return preparation, tax planning, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting and audit software, MS Excel, and other productivity tools.
- Ability to analyze financial data, interpret regulations, and provide clear, practical recommendations to clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous learning in the fields of audit, accounting, and taxation.
- Relevant work experience in a CA firm or corporate finance/accounting environment is preferred but not mandatory for highly capable newly qualified CAs.
