Role Description The Centre Head – IVF will oversee the daily clinical and operational activities of Yana IVF and Fertility Centre in Trivandrum in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role includes leading the medical and support teams, coordinating patient care pathways, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards. Responsibilities involve supervising IVF and related fertility treatment services, monitoring quality and safety metrics, and optimizing patient experience from consultation through post-treatment follow-up. The Centre Head will manage scheduling, resource utilization, and collaboration between clinicians, nurses, embryologists, and administrative staff to maintain efficiency and high success rates. The role also includes participation in clinical governance, continuous improvement initiatives, and community and professional outreach to strengthen the centre’s reputation.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical leadership capabilities, including team management, decision-making, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Extensive experience in reproductive medicine and assisted reproductive technologies (e.g., IVF, ICSI, cryopreservation) with sound clinical judgment.
- Competence in quality assurance, protocol implementation, and compliance with national and local regulations governing fertility services.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in sensitive, high-stakes situations.
- Organizational and administrative skills for overseeing centre operations, scheduling, performance monitoring, and resource management.
- Commitment to ethical, patient-centered care, including confidentiality, informed consent, and respect for diverse backgrounds and family structures.
- Preferred qualifications include a medical degree with specialization in reproductive endocrinology or obstetrics and gynecology, along with prior experience leading an IVF or fertility centre.
- Experience in data-driven practice improvement, use of electronic medical records, and participation in clinical research or outcome reporting is an advantage.
