Role Description The Centre Head cum Computer Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Thoothukudi. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations of the center, including coordination of classes, monitoring attendance, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment. The individual will design and deliver computer science and basic programming lessons, conduct practical sessions, and evaluate learner progress through assignments and assessments. Daily responsibilities include curriculum planning, scheduling, supporting learners with different skill levels, and mentoring them on digital literacy and career readiness. The role also requires collaboration with Sevalaya’s team for outreach activities, community engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement of teaching methods and center performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge in Computer Science and basic Programming concepts.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with learners, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Teaching and Curriculum Development skills to design and deliver structured computer courses.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in common computer applications (e.g., MS Office, internet tools) and basic hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Relevant academic background such as a diploma or degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is preferred.
- Experience in teaching, training, or working with youth and community-based programs is beneficial.
