Role Description The Career Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based at Lodha World School in Mumbai. The person in this role will guide students in exploring education and career options, conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, and facilitate group workshops on career awareness and planning. Daily responsibilities include assessing students’ interests and aptitudes, maintaining accurate counseling records, coordinating with teachers and guardians, and providing information on colleges, courses, and vocational paths. The Career Counselor will also organize career fairs, invite guest speakers, and collaborate with school leadership to integrate career guidance into the broader school program.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Career Counseling and Student Counseling.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Development and Career Management.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills.
- Relevant postgraduate or bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with school-age students in an educational or counseling setting.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain professional ethics.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with proficiency in basic computer applications.
- Comfort working in a multicultural, inclusive school environment and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
