Role Description:
The Bare Bar is looking for a Business Finance Analyst to work closely with the founders and teams across Growth, E-commerce, Operations, Supply Chain and Accounts.
This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys working with numbers, understanding business drivers and turning financial data into better decisions. You will get hands-on exposure to the financial workings of a fast-growing consumer brand across D2C, marketplaces, quick commerce and offline retail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support AOP, budgeting and rolling forecasts, and track actual performance vs budget/forecast
- Own weekly and monthly MIS and management reporting
- Track key financial metrics including revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, operating costs, EBITDA and cash burn
- Analyse channel-level profitability across D2C, marketplaces, quick commerce and offline retail, accounting for discounts, commissions, logistics, fulfilment, returns and other channel costs
- Build and maintain SKU-level unit economics, including MRP, net realisation, COGS and contribution margins
- Support pricing, discounting, bundles, promotions and new product decisions
- Track marketing spends and analyse CAC, ROAS, MER and contribution after marketing
- Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, inventory ageing, stock cover and working capital
- Track key operating costs and identify cost, margin and operating-efficiency opportunities
- Build financial models and conduct ad-hoc analysis to support pricing, channel, product, marketing and investment decisions
- Support month-end closure and reconcile management numbers with accounting data
- Prepare financial analysis and dashboards for founder and management reviews
- Help standardise and automate finance reporting processes as the business scales
Qualifications:
- 0–2 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, MIS, Financial Analysis or a related role
- B.Com / BBA / BFM / Finance / Economics / CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance or a similar background
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets and financial modelling skills
- Good understanding of P&L, gross margin, contribution margin, cash flow and basic accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large datasets and identifying the business story behind the numbers
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate financial insights clearly
- High ownership and curiosity to understand the underlying drivers of the business
- Experience in D2C, FMCG, consumer brands, e-commerce, marketplaces or retail is a plus
