Role Description The Project Finance Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Raipur. The analyst will support project appraisal and financing activities by building and maintaining financial models, performing cash flow and profitability analysis, and assessing project risks and returns. Typical responsibilities include reviewing project documents, preparing financial projections, supporting due diligence, and assisting in the preparation of investment memos and client presentations. The role involves close collaboration with senior professionals, clients, and other stakeholders to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure accurate, timely financial analysis. The analyst will also contribute to periodic reporting, monitoring project performance against budgets, and recommending improvements to financial structures and processes.
Qualifications
We are looking for individuals who meet the following professional criteria:
- A minimum of 1 to 1.5 years of practical experience in the project finance sector.
- A solid foundational understanding of financial principles and Credit Monitoring Arrangement (CMA). Foundational accounting knowledge, including understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and relevant accounting standards.
- Demonstrated capability in the preparation of detailed financial models for various projects.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, evaluate project feasibility, and perform scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Experience in conducting and assisting in the assessment of the Techno-Economic Viability (TEV) of projects.
- An understanding of debt financing from banks and financial institutions, alongside corporate and project-specific advisory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional qualifications (CA, CMA, CFA or equivalent) are an advantage (full-time engagement on record will only be eligible).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with financial analysis software is beneficial.
