The role
You own the top of the funnel: the right accounts, the right people inside them, the first conversation, and a qualified meeting the sales team can actually work. You will build the outbound motion, not inherit a finished one.
You report to the Chief of Revenue and work closely with the founders. In an early GTM team, whoever owns the first touch also shapes the positioning - what you learn changes what we say and who we say it to.
What you will do
Research and qualify
- Build the target account list
- Map the buying centre
- Read the account before you write to it
Run multi-channel outreach
- Sequence email, LinkedIn, phone, and event follow-up deliberately
- Personalise on research, not merge fields.
- Own deliverability - verified data, sensible volumes, prompt opt-outs, GDPR and CAN-SPAM compliance.
Book qualified meetings and demos
- Qualify before you book: right account, real authority or influence, a stated problem, an agreed next step.
- Nurture the accounts that are right but not ready, so they come back to us on their timeline.
What you bring
- 4–7 years in outbound B2B lead generation, SDR, or BDR roles, including at least two years personally sourcing meetings from cold accounts rather than triaging inbound.
- A track record you can talk through with numbers - accounts worked, reply rates, meetings held, and what changed when you changed the message.
- Experience with considered, multi-stakeholder buying cycles: life sciences, pharma, CRO, clinical technology, software, or AI product, or enterprise B2B SaaS.
- Real research ability, and fluency with a CRM (HubSpot or Salesforce), a sequencing platform, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and enrichment tools such as Apollo, ZoomInfo, or Lusha.
- Comfort with your own funnel maths, and willingness to overlap European and US Eastern hours for a meaningful part of the week.
- A graduate in any discipline.
