Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead the
full client acquisition and sales journey, from identifying and procuring high-quality leads
through research, design shows, referrals, partnerships, and direct outreach, to closing deals
and handing over to the post-sales team.
This role is responsible for driving revenue growth by building strong client, architect, and
designer relationships; converting enquiries into confirmed orders; and overseeing the
preparation of accurate quotations, BOQs, and commercial documentation. The Business
Development Manager will work closely with internal teams and external production partners to
ensure pricing accuracy, delivery feasibility, and a seamless client experience, while
maintaining complete and reliable sales records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure new leads through research, outreach, referrals, and inbound enquiries from the website, social media, email, and phone.
- Engage with potential clients, understand their requirements, and actively work towards closing the deal.
- Prepare and share accurate quotations, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and related documents on time.
- Coordinate with internal teams and production to confirm product details, pricing, availability, and delivery timelines before closing orders.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients until the deal is closed, including follow-ups, negotiations, and payment coordination.
- Once the deal is closed, ensure a smooth handover to the post-sales team for order execution and after-sales support.
- Maintain clear records of all client communication, revisions, and approvals.
- Regularly update CRM systems and sales trackers with correct lead, quote, and order information.
- Build strong client relationships to support repeat business and referrals.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of experience in sales support, customer service, or estimation within the furniture is a must.
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets for data and pricing management.
- Familiar with CRM systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail with a client-focused mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
